The Scott's Creek Trail Project has been constructed!
City officials received multiple qualified bids and awarded the project to the lowest bidder, K2 Construction on August 26, 2025.
Scott's Creek Trail provides the path connection from the City’s pedestrian underpass under 68th Street (completed in 2023) to Hickman Road Trail.

The City of Hickman is a grant recipient from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s Recreational Trails Program for this project.
The City will be reimbursed for 80% of the construction expenditures (up to $250,000) to construct Scott’s Creek Trail which will add 1,390 feet to the city's pedestrian trail system.
K2 Construction's winning bid amount was $226,841 and construction should be substantially completed by November 15, 2025.
